In 1838, E.J. van Wisselingh established a fine art dealership in the heart of Amsterdam. By 1900, the company was operating from both Amsterdam and London, specializing in contemporary Dutch and French art. Many of the private collections that the firm helped build can now be seen in important museums such as the Rijksmuseum.
E.J. Wisselingh & Co. currently operates from Haarlem and still deals exclusively in Dutch and French masters from the 19th and 20th century.
