The author Maria Antónia Pinto de Matos has been researching the RA Collection for 11 years and the result is a work of true scholarship providing the most up to date and complete account of the subject available. The three-volume set of hardcover books includes chapters on earthenware, stoneware and porcelain of the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, works with Western shapes and decoration and armorial Chinese export porcelain.   Maria Antonia Pinto de Matos (20. Jahrhundert) ist eine der weltweit angesehensten Experten für chinesisches Exportporzellan vom 16. bis 19. Jahrhundert und hat ein besonderes Interesse an frühen Stücken für den portugiesischen Markt. Derzeit ist sie Direktorin des Nationalen Fliesenmuseums in Lissabon. Zuvor war sie Direktorin des Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves Museums, ebenfalls in Lissabon, und des Portugiesischen Instituts für Nationalmuseen. Sie kuratierte nicht nur Ausstellungen in Portugal und im Ausland, sondern schrieb auch eine Reihe von Büchern über chinesisches Exportporzellan.
